Jakarta Black Institute of Technology (“JBIT,” “we,” “us”), a division of Jakarta Black Consulting LLC, operates jbitnv.com and the learning platform at learn.jbitnv.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you provide to us, including your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, enrollment application and any essays or materials you submit, and information you share when you contact us.
Demographic and eligibility information that you or a funding agency provide when it is required for workforce program reporting.
Payment information. When you pay tuition, your card or bank details are entered directly into our payment processor, Stripe. JBIT does not collect or store full card numbers.
Funding information. If a workforce agency, employer, or other sponsor is paying for your training, we collect the information needed to enroll you and bill your sponsor.
Learning information. When you use learn.jbitnv.com we collect your course activity, submissions, grades, attendance, and progress.
Information collected automatically, such as basic device and usage data and cookies used to operate and improve our sites.
Service providers who help us operate, including our payment processor (Stripe), hosting and infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), and communication tools. These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us.
Workforce agencies and sponsors. If your training is funded by an agency or sponsor, we share the enrollment, attendance, completion, and outcome information that the funding requires, consistent with your authorization.
Legal and regulatory recipients, including state licensing boards and auditors, or where we are required to share information by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Payments are handled by Stripe, which processes card data under the PCI Data Security Standard. Stripe’s own privacy terms govern its handling of that data.
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide your program and to meet our legal, audit, and funding-reporting obligations, after which we dispose of it securely.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including access controls and encryption of data in transit, on infrastructure operated within Amazon Web Services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may review and update the information you have provided, and you may opt out of marketing emails at any time. You may request deletion of information we are not required to retain for legal or reporting purposes. To make a request, email billing@jbitnv.com.
Our programs are intended for adults age 18 and older, and our sites are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
